All of us know that beaches are the ones with sandy shores, are breezy, cool to stare at........ but did you know there are a few beaches that are really weird??? C'mon let's get to know about a few of 'em....
This is a bioluminescent beach a part of a sea known as the "Sea of Stars". It is found on the Vaadhoo Islands. This is generated by phytoplankton known as dinoflagellates.
This is Vik beach located near Iceland’s rainy, southernmost point. You can enjoy a spot of sightseeing at Katla Volcano present closer to the beach. Its volcanic activity is believed to have caused the blackish appearance of the shore.
Papakolea Beach also known as Green Sand Beach, according to its name has a shore which has green sand. It is located near the South Point of a district in Hawaiian island. It gets its distinctive coloring from the mineral olivine, a common mineral in the Earth's subsurface but weathers quickly on the surface.
This is Glass Beach, situated near Fort Bragg, California. It has been created from years of dumping garbage into an area of coastline near the northern part of the town. Though the above listed ones were natural this beach is a man-made one......
