Do you think that it snows only on Earth? Well what you had been thinking about, is totally wrong. Wondering how? Get your answers here.
In a research, scientists have found that it's snowing heavy metal on Venus. The lower atmosphere and surface there, are hundreds of degrees hotter than the surface of the Earth and metallic compounds emitted by volcanoes on Venus condense in the cooler regions of the atmosphere and snow out on the surface. But since it’s so hot on Venus, snow as we know it can’t exist. This was first observed as bright patches in radar imaging maps produced by NASA's Magellan Mission to Venus in 1989.
Later, it was found that the metallic frost capping its mountains are composed of two types of metals: galena and bismuthinite. These are naturally occurring minerals and existing ores found in Missouri, Australia and other parts of the world. Also, Venus is not the only celestial body with such a preternatural precipitation as such, but it has also been discovered that in Mars, snow contains carbon dioxide.

You can find few more facts about Venus below:
- Venus is the only planet that rotates counter clockwise and is the hottest planet in our solar system.
- A day on Venus lasts longer than a year. It takes around 243 Earth days to rotate once on its axis.
